Patrick Kasimoni Mwesigye

Patrick Mwesigye is an industrial chemist/chemical engineer and an environmental scientist with over 30 years professional experience in academic institutions, private sector, government agencies and international organisations. He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from University of Sydney, Australia, M.Sc in Chemical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University (Nigeria) and B.SC. Industrial Chemistry from Makerere University (Uganda). His post-graduate training in environmental science and technology from IHE, Delft in Netherlands, gives him the versatility to handle various industrial
processes and environmental management.
As the UN Environment Africa Office Resource Efficiency sub-programme Coordinator, he coordinates programmes on Green Economy, Sustainable Consumption and Production, Circular Economy, Resource Efficiency and Cleaner Production in Africa. Before joining UN Environment, he was the Executive Director of Uganda Cleaner Production Centre and Senior Lecturer of Industrial Chemistry at Makerere University in Uganda.
